Put on your driving suit, buckle up your
helmet, and get behind the wheel of a race ready NASCAR stock car. Your
instructor flips the start switch and your car rumbles to life. Hold on
tight as you accelerate down pit row and onto the high banked two mile oval at
Michigan International Speedway. A 150mph thrill ride awaits, an experience like
no other.
After registration participants signed up for driving school adventures go to class for
"Stock Car Driving 101". Because our stock car driving school is not "lead
follow" and Passing is allowed
there is a lot to learn before you get behind the wheel of a stock car.
The Chalk-Talk Classroom covers: in car and on track safety,
reference points, driving the proper line, how to enter and exit corners and pit
road, and
proper passing maneuvers.
There is a introduction to
the dynamics of a stock car so you will understand why and how a stock car
reacts the way it does. There will be Q and A time at the end of class.
Next it's out to pit road where the race cars are gassed up and ready to go.
But Before you get behind the wheel of a 600hp stock car, you will practice
everything you have learned in the classroom by through orientation
laps in street cars (provided by TrackTime).
Back on pit road you will attend a drivers
meeting where instructors give you a stock car orientation. You will learn about the safety
features and gauges and how to enter and exit your stock car. Your instructor
will answer any last minute questions you may have.
Now you are ready to experience what few people ever do. Get buckled in behind
the wheel of an authentic NASCAR race car, racing
at speeds up to 150 mph.
