After
registration
participants go to class for "Stock Car
Racing 101". Because our stock car driving adventures are NOT "lead follow" and Passing IS Allowed,
there is a lot to learn before getting behind the wheel of a race ready stock car.
The hour long class covers: in car and on track safety,
reference marks, driving the proper line, how to enter and exit corners and
pit road, and proper passing maneuvers. There is an introduction
to the dynamics of weight transfer so you will understand how and why a stock
car reacts the way it does. There will be Q and A time at the end of class.
Next it's out to pit road where the race cars are gassed up and ready to go.
But before you get behind the wheel of a 600hp stock car you will practice
everything you have
learned in the classroom through orientation laps in street cars. (Provided
by TrackTime) Once you have shown us you understand the proper line, passing
maneuvers and safety etiquette, it's back to pit road.
On pit road your guests will attend a drivers meeting
where instructors give them a stock car orientation, explaining safety
features and gauges and how to enter and exit their stock car. The
instructor will answer any last minute questions.
Now you and your guests are ready to experience what
few people ever do. Get behind the wheel of an authentic NASCAR race car,
racing at speeds up to 150 mph. All this at one of the countries
premier showcases for speed, Michigan International Speedway!
